Our annual pops-style concert and silent auction fundraiser next season will feature a variety of choral pieces that explore the theme of family, whether literally (blood relations), metaphorically (chosen family, community), or emotionally (home, belonging, love).

A German Requiem

Johannes Brahms

Together with the Quincy Symphony Orchestra, we will bring this timeless piece to life in our city. As the transcendent beauty of A German Requiem comes to Quincy, it’s important to note that this requiem is unlike any other you might know. From musical notation to orchestration, A German Requiem brings the connection to humanity to the forefront of the profound masterwork.

Messiah

We celebrate a long-time tradition of singing with our friends at Eastern Nazarene College with an uplifting performance of Handel’s most beloved oratorio. A cherished tradition in many countries, Messiah tells the story of Christ’s birth, passion, resurrection, through sublime choruses, stirring arias, and majestic orchestration.

Duruflé Requiem

Featuring Organist Dr. Juan Mesa, Duruflé’s Requiem remains one of the 20th century’s most beloved choral works, reflecting humanity’s deep longing and mystery. The program also includes works by Gounod, Saint-Saëns, Fauré, and Duruflé.
